Hot, talented and totally n'sync, they're the favourites to win this year's X Factor Australia series. We went behind-the-scenes and chatted with Julian from the most talked about band of the mo, The Collective.
How's the X Factor experience been for you so far?
A: X Factor is crazy. I get to do it with four guys and we’re like brothers now. It's crazy to think that we'd be this close and we've only been together a short time. It just makes it more fun when I'm with them.
What was it like bonding with each other in the beginning?
A: We had a chat after boot camp when we got put together. We exchanged numbers, Facebook names and we talked a lot on the phone. That was really hard, you now, getting to know somebody over the phone. But when we spent time with each other we just got on straight away. The judges knew we would gel.
How are you boys handling the female attention?
A: Every guy would love the attention from girls screaming at you. These girls are the ones who have kept us in this competition and we love them all. When we perform we can hear the screams from all of them and it just boosts us up. We were in rehearsals yesterday and we went flat but as soon as we got out there during the night and heard the screams, we had to give it back to them.
Who's the funniest?
A: Probably Zach.
The quietest?
A: I think it's me!
Most likely to date a fan?
A: I think maybe Trent, me or Jayden. We're the single ones.

Who takes the longest to get ready in make-up? It must be Trent with the fringe!
A: Yeah, Trent takes time with his hair and so does Will. Actually mine takes time too. We probably all take the same amount of time.
Who is the most stylish?
A: We all have different styles. Zach like denim and Will likes his snap backs and his swagger outfits. I think I have good style. Definitely me in my opinion (laughs).
Who is the neatest?
A: Trent or me. I was rooming with Trent and then we swapped and I was with Jayden and he is the messiest person you'll ever met. It's like a bomb hit the room. There's clothes all over the floor. You can't even walk in there!
Who is the most romantic?
A: Will just quietly. You wouldn't think he is but he is.
Who is the least romantic?
A: (laughs) I'm not sure. Maybe Zach. He's got a girlfriend and he obviously treats her right but maybe him.
Who gets the most girl's numbers?
A: Trent. Girls always ask Trent for his number but he obviously says no nowadays because it's a bit hard. You can't have your phone number out there. We always get random phone calls, it's pretty weird.
Who's the cheekiest?
A: Jayden. Or Zach. Zach's pretty cheeky.
Who is most likely to get into trouble?
A: That's Zach.
Do you have a message for DOLLY readers?
A: We have loved all of our fans right from the beginning and all of our new ones. We wish we could meet you all and one day we hope to meet as many of you as we can. We love you all!
