Gerdy's green tips #12
Green tip for this week:
Cut back on meat
It's hard to believe that what is on our dinner plates can affect the environment, but it's true. Eating less meat can have a positive effect on reducing the amount of greenhouse gas emissions. Each 150 gram serve of grain fed beef comes at a cost of 200 litres of water and a massive 5 kilos of greenhouse gas pollution.
It's time to swap that steak for some salad and introduce more vegetables into your diet. You don't need to cut out meat all together if you don't want to, but every little bit helps.
