Help save the whales

Wednesday, July 9, 2008
You know the deal when it comes to whales. The Japanese folk are unnecessarily slaughtering these beautiful animals for their meat, which no one wants anyway. Wanna help save them? You don't need to paddle out into Japanese waters like Hayden Panettiere did. In fact, you can do your bit without even leaving your computer.

Greenpeace and The Daily Telegraph have set up a site where you can send a virtual origami whale to the Japanese prime minister. You can even customise your whale with colours and features. How cool is that!

Head here to join the protest: www.send-a-whale.com

If everybody does their little bit to help save the whales, we can make the ocean a better place for them to live in! They're living creatures, just like us. Every country in the world has whaling banned, except for Japan. Japan sometimes even sneak into our waters to slaughter the whales who are safe, for now, at least. Help stop whaling because you know it's the right thing to do. Put yourself in a whale's position. How would you feel? We need to all work together and we can make whaling history!
i agree with this protest a 100%! Japanese should not be hunting these graceful and beautiful animals for their meat as this is just crul! its good to know that there are good people out there who really care about Whales and put an effort to make this world a better place! luv always chatty bingo123 ps. I LIKE CHEESE! (although i would like to save the whales more!)
Its good to know there are people out there who really care about the environment and make an effort to help. i think this 'Save The Whales' protest is a fantastic idea im going ti sign up right now
I'm glad that there is this on the net to get people aware of what the Japanese is doing to those CUTE mammels. I hope that more people do it. I have told all my friends to do. xo xo
Lol i am so focused on saving the whales, a while ago i googled save the whales and i found that and i made a whale and i called it chester
im soo happy 'bout this, thanx loads dolly Xx
omg! wot agr8 idea, now wecan help save the whales like Hayden with half the amount of efort. The Japenese r soooooo cruel 2 those whales, they say they r killing the whales 4 scientific reasons
I think Greenpeace idea is great because it can show japan that you should not harm Whales! They are loveable and harmless seacreatures and are very precious and do not deserve to be treated like this. I hope Greenpeace can get through to Japan and make them realise how this effecting the whales population and lives and how it is effecting us. Goodluck !
I think that Greenpeace has created a fun way of helping our whales and will show Japan what intelligent and loving creatures whales are. It is so sad to watch these whales go through this. This is making lots of people very upset and angry at Japan slaughtering whales! Hopefully Japan will stop Immy...?
i think that it is horrible! how can people do this to our animals just for meat, it's sick. how would they like it if we went up to them and killed them just coz we could or thoguht it would be fun(i would say eat but thats just wrong) because they are just like humans and if we dont stop killing there will be none left!however i think it's great to have Hayden Panettiere on our side because young girls look up to her and mabey more people will see how wrong killing whales is.
