Heat + hair = major drama, right? Uh-uh. These cute styles not only beat the heat, they're easy too!
THE TWIST
Time: two minutes
Take a small section of hair from the front of your head, pull it back, twist and pin in place. You can also pull it to one side to create a mini twist, or try taking a bigger section of hair and pinning for a dressier look.
THE SIDE PONY
Time: four minutes
Loosely part your hair on the left-hand side, then gather your hair behind your left ear (or part it on the right and gather behind your right ear), and secure with an elastic. Now curl the ends of your pony with a hot tong.
THE HIGH PONY
Time: four and a half minutes
This style is the perfect way to avoid frizz if you're heading out to the beach. Brush hair back into a high pony, smoothing sides, and tie with an elastic. Then take a small section of hair from your pony, wrap it around the elastic and pin in place.
THE BANDANNA
Time: one minute
There's no better cure for a bad hair day than a bandana or scarf. This Summer you need one in a pretty print that you can slide over frizzy or unruly, humidity-affected hair. Work frizz-fighting serum or cream into the lengths of your locks, and you’ll be good to go!
THE BRAID
Time: four and a half minutes
Spice up your hairstyle with a little braiding. Start by parting your hair on the side, then take a large section of hair from the front and separate it into three smaller pieces. Begin plaiting your hair, picking up little pieces as you go and adding them to your braid. Once you get past your hairline, finish off as a plait, then secure with an elastic.
Hot tip: Want to add a super cute, dressy touch to your look? Get your hands on a thick, sparkly ribbon and weave it into your braid.
