Vitamin C helps your body produce glutathione, a miracle worker which drives away baddie toxins. So, when you're hungry after school, snack on C-rich foods like red berries, kiwi fruit, oranges and spinach.
Drinks LOTS of water
Health experts recommend drinking at least three litres of water a day. So keep a bottle with you at school, and don't forget to rehydrate yourself after sports practice or time in the sun.
Up your energy
Want to kick that feeling of being constantly tired? Eat foods which contain iron (a mineral that helps boost your energy levels) like lean roast beef, roasted pumpkin seeds, sun dried tomatoes and dried apricots. Bonus points if you're a sushi lover, the black seaweed wrapper stuff known as nori is packed full of iron and B, C and A vitamins!
If your diet includes a lot of red meat (like burgers and steak), try replacing it with protein once a week. Ask mum to whip up a veggie stir-fry for dinner or pack a chicken sandwich for lunch. Hand on heart, you'll feel SO much better.
