Hair masterclass: DKNY's polished ponytail

Tuesday, February 14, 2012

Keep your tresses tame with this season’s prettiest ponytail! Seen on the runway at DKNY’s A/W ’12 show, this ponytail is as polished as it is playful. The best part? It’s totally low-maintence (even though it looks majorly high fashion!).

We caught up with Eugene Souleiman, Global Creative Director at Wella Professionals to find out how you can achieve this look at home.

• Start by running a volumising serum through wet hair (we love Wella Professionals Velvet Amplifier) before blow drying with a round brush.

• Section the hair at the front of your head and create a deep side part – smoothing as you go.

• Pull the hair back behind your ears and run a straightening iron through the back section of hair.

• Using a wide barrette clip, secure the hair into a low tail at the nape of the neck. Make sure you spread the hair evenly to create a flat look.

• Finish with a light spritz of hairspray (we love Wella Professionals Stay Styled) to hold the look in place.
