Date night beauty tips
So, you've got a date but now you're thinking "Do I need to do anything special make-up or beauty wise?" Generally, the never-fail rule is just be yourself, 'cos the more comfortable you feel on a date the better. But there are a few little things you can do to feel totally glamorous and most-beautiful-girl-in-the-room-like. Read on.
Pamper to prepare
Start the pampering process by filling your bath with a nice-smelling body wash and hang out in there for a bit. Unwind, relax, light some candles and just enjoy the moment. When you get out, only dry off with the towel a touch - leave your skin fairly moist then lather up with a moisturiser like Palmer's Cocoa Butter. By doing it when your skin is wet it locks in the moisture, meaning your skin stays super soft.
Get luscious lips
Even if your lips aren't dry or chapped, if you plan on a smooch with your date (even if it is just a good night peck) you ought to get those smackers smooth and plump. Wet a face washer with warm water and gently run it across your lips, and finish with a moisturising product like Lucas Paw Paw ointment or Carmex. Apply a shiny lip-gloss for the finishing touch - but just a word of warning: guys often don't like having their mouths covered in pink goo!
Gorgeous glow
A gorgeous, healthy glow will make you look a million bucks, but how do you get it you ask? Exfoliate before you cleanse then use a moisturiser and foundation (if you wear it) that mention brightening as a benefit. A little blush on the cheeks and a bronzer with a hint of shimmer will have your glow a go-go.
Last but not least
Don't leave home without adding a touch of fragrance. Your signature scent is your best bet to show him who you really are, but if you haven't decided on one give Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Girls a try. There are five different scents to choose from, and the cute bottles are TDF. They'll make you happy just looking at them on your dressing table.
But the most important thing when you're on a date is not how you look but actually how you feel. If you don't usually go for smoky eyes, by all means give it a go but if you're not sure then grab those make-up remover wipes and get it off stat. You'll feel much more confident and you'll shine brighter than any face mask could ever make you.
