How to faux glow
Tuesday, July 3, 2007
No more pasty winter skin! Discover how to get the perfect faux glow.
The key to success is...
- Exfoliation: although you can't see it, a build-up of dead skin cells can make your tan look like you've applied it in the dark- patchy and just wrong. So, exfoliate the night before, and don’t use moisturiser, perfume or deodorant.
- Back to basics: if you're a beginner try a tinted product, so that you know when you're applying it.
- Don't be afraid: a lot of products look dark at first, but any excess colour will wash off the next day, leaving you with a lush looking tan.
- Latest and greatest: the latest in fake tanning is the no-rub formula, so you can just spray and go! These mists are so fine they won't create lines where you spray, meaning zero streaks and a really natural-looking tan.
- Oops- orange alert! did you forget to wash you hands after you applied your tan? Try using Model Co Tan Remover Exfoliating Scrub.
