Morgan's design was chosen from thousands of entries — by DOLLY Editor Bron — to be printed onto 1000 cosmetic bags. Get to know her in this NYDC exclusive interview...

- Cool things to do on the weekend: my friends and I like outdoors stuff like rollerblading, going to the beach or just making our own fun!
- Bad habits: I can be a bit messy at times and, sometimes, I forget to turn off the lights.
- Fav band: I like songs rather than bands. At the moment I like Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's. I also like songs by Snow Patrol.
- The worst TV show: Top Gear — I find car shows boring.
- Fav section of NYDC: The competition page 'cos that's where all the cool prizes are!
- Fav subject at school: Art (when we are doing practical) and cooking (which I like but still suck at!)
What do you want to do as a career?
Anything in design would be cool but I'm mostly interested in editorial design, whether it's print or online. Last year I got into animation and that was pretty cool. I also did a graphic design workshop for a day which I'll be doing again over the holidays. I'll definitely be taking my new Apple MacBook along to discover what cool stuff I can do with it. So far, the photo booth is my favourite thing on it 'cos it's the only thing I know how to work!
What was the inspiration behind your (winning) design?
The graphic design workshop I did showed me what was "in fashion" in terms of design and gave examples. I kept this in mind when creating my design. I liked using the free-form tool because I found it more challenging than just using the stamps.
Got any design tips for other NYDC members?
Try to think outside the square and come up with your own unique designs. Magazines are a real source of inspiration for me, like DOLLY and all the chick mags with bright, fun colours.
What cool things have you DISCOVERED through NYDC?
All the cool prizes on offer of course! Also, NIVEA is my favourite cosmetic brand so I love reading about all the new products.
What can't you live without in your cosmetic bag?
My NIVEA YOUNG Control It Moisturiser.
