I am me

Thursday, June 5, 2008

by Heartfelt & Poetic, SA

I may not be perfect or even close to it,
I may not be spectacular maybe no where near it,
I may not be an angel with her halo hanging high,
And I may not be Superwoman flying in the sky.

However I am somebody special,
I am somebody smart,
And one day I will be that angel,
Who steals somebody's heart.

I've longed to be a princess,
Wearing her crown proud,
And telling everyone I am me,
That special girl saying it loud.

I may not be slim or pretty or tall,
I may not be anything to look at at all,
I may not be the beauty queen that everybody loves,
But I am me and to me … that is enough!

No one else,
Just you.

If

by Kiara, QLD

If a fallen angel fell near you,
Would you help it find its wings?
When a bird chips at morning light,
Do you hear the tune it sings?
When someone says 'I love you',
Do you believe it to be true?
If I told you that I love you,
Would you say you love me too?
