One of Spencer Eldon's baby photos just happens to me on the cover of the most prolific album of the 1990s, Nirvana's 'Nevermind'...
For as long as Spencer, 17, can remember, he's been the Nirvana baby. It all began when he was four months old and his dad took him to a photo shoot to help out one of his photographer mates. Little did he know he was making his son part of music history.
The image of baby Spencer underwater with his arms outstretched towards an American dollar bill has since been splashed across T-shirts, posters and more than 25 million 'Nevermind' album covers.
Seventeen years later Spencer, who returned to the pool in Pasadena, California, to recreate the photo that gave him worldwide stardom, reckons it's no big deal.

"I'm not sure it's really changed my life because I've just grown up with it and it's always been there. It's something I've known about since I was old enough to understand. It didn't just hit me at a certain age, like, "Oh my God! I'm the Nirvana baby!"
It's kind of cool to have your baby picture all over the place and to have this connection with a great band like Nirvana. But I'm just a normal guy and it's no big deal to me.
I guess it might have opened a few doors for me along the way, but I don't try to make a big thing out of it. I don't go around telling people, "Hi, I'm the Nirvana baby". I'm kind of low-key about it.
My friends boast about it more than I do. They're like, "You'll never guess who this is!" Some people believe it, some don't. I'm just like, "Why would I lie about it?".
I've got to admit it's a good pick-up line. Girls always say stupid things like, "Has your body changed much?" so I say, "You want to see?"
A lot of my friends have pictures of me on their wall and I go down to record stores and there's always that poster in the window. I should probably sign it, something funny like, "You'll thank me later."
I really enjoy Nirvana's music. Just the other day I was watching a video of one of their live performances. It's cool because I can look at that and say I'm somehow connected to that band and it's something that's always going to be with me.
I should probably just call Dave Grohl [the drummer from Nirvana and lead singer of the Foo Fighters] and say, "Do you want to have lunch?" or something."
