Jesse McCartney

At the age of 21, Jesse McCartney would have to be one of the youngest people to have a comeback. But that is exactly what the young singer/actor is going through.

Jesse first found fame in 2000 as the youngest member of the boy band Dream Street. The group earned a gold record with their debut CD, but broke up while touring with Aaron Carter. Jesse went on to begin a solo career aged 15 with the release of his debut album, Beautiful Soul.

A double threat in the entertainment biz, Jesse also got a break as an actor. His first major role was on the American soap, All My Children in which he earned a Daytime Emmy nomination. He also starred in the short-lived series Summerland.

After all this sudden success Jesse dropped off the radar and just as we were beginning to think he was just another child star, he swooped back into the spotlight with a couple of movie roles and a new album.

Jesse was the voice of Theodore Seville in the flick Alvin and the Chipmunks and the voice of Jojo O'Malley in Horton Hears a Who. His new album, Departure will be released this month.
