Jonas Brothers

It's hard to remember what life was like before Nick, Kevin and Joe came in and graced it. What on earth occupied the giant blank space on our walls that now belongs to them? Before the three spunky brothers formed their group, the band started off as the solo act of Nicholas Jonas.

Nick was just six years old when he was discovered singing in a barber shop. By age seven he was performing on Broadway in plays like A Christmas Carol, Annie Get Your Gun, Beauty and the Beast, Les Misérables and The Sound of Music. From there Nick went on to recording solo songs, followed by a solo album, aimed at a Christian audience.

Nick and his brothers, Kevin and Joe, had written several songs for his album, but it was the song Please Be Mine that caught the attention of the big wigs at Columbia Records. This song was written and performed by all three boys, and the record labal was so impressed they signed the trio as a group act.

In 2005, the Jonas Brothers toured with Kelly Clarkson, Jesse McCartney and the Backstreet Boys. They also spent time on an anti-drug tour with Aly & AJ and The Cheetah Girls. In 2006, they opened for the Veronicas and released their first album, It's About Time.

In 2007 the boys signed with Hollywood Records and released their self-titled second album. The album reached number five on the Billboard Hot 200 chart in its first week.

The Jonas Brothers also appeared in an episode of Hannah Montana with Miley Cyrus and now they're on tour with her for her Best of Both Worlds tour.
