Sitting down for a chat with Elle Girl Japan, One Direction spilled on friendship, success and what attracts them to a girl.
The boys — Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Liam Payne — opened up about how they've developed as a band, saying that there's "a new level of understanding among [them] now."
"We kind of understand each other's boundaries a lot more now," Zayn revealed. "If somebody's a bit tired [we know] not to annoy them, or if somebody's a bit upset you might need to speak to them."
Harry went on to reveal how they've managed to stay such good friends, saying: "We built the relationship the right way when we first got together. We had this time when we had like a week together to practice. I think we sang for like, an hour.
"I think the rest of the time we just played football and ran around and watched films... that was kind of it."
But the interview wasn't all about how much they like each other (good to hear their bromances are blossoming though!). The band also talked about some other stuff — like becoming huge stars, their fave fashions, and what they like to see girls wear.
A simple dress paired with Converse sneakers seems to be a winning look for the 1D boys, especially for Harry, who seems particularly fond of a dressed-down girl.
"I really love that girls wear a dress and Converse," he said. "That is so hot, when she's just casual."
And what about you, Louis? "A slightly quirkier dressed girl is much fitter I think."
