Hunger Games: The reality TV show?

Thursday, December 13, 2012

We have to admit, we were a little bit sceptical when we heard of CW's plans to turn The Hunger Games into reality TV (flaming arrows and giant Tracker Jackers, anyone?).

But it seems that the orders for two new shows are toning down the killing in favour of showcasing our most entertaining instincts: survival and love.

The first show, called The Hunt, will introduce 12 teams of two, placed in the wild without food, water or shelter for a month. Relying on their own hunting skills and physical ability, competitors will be forced to survive in unpredictable conditions while avoiding capture in the hopes of winning a nice big cashola prize.

And the second, Perfect Score won't involve building tepees (as far as we know...), instead contestants will be faced with the task of identifying their perfect partner from 12 delicious singles. Oooh!

With two friends pitched against each other, participants will compete to score their perfect date, taking part in compatibility tests assigned with cash values. Pick the most compatible and highest valued singleton and you win the date (and the cash, of course)!

Set to air in the summer of 2013, our tummies are rumbling for these yummy new shows!

Who's excited?
