Is Taylor Lautner caught up in a case of forbidden love just like his character Jacob in Twilight?

LaineyGossip.com has revealed that Taylor and Selena Gomez, a couple so cute they have the potential to knock Zac and Vanessa off the top spot, have had to go their separate ways due to pressure from Taylor's dad and Summit Entertainment, the film company that owns the film rights to the Twilight movie saga.

Taylor and Selena had been enjoying their brand-new romance while they both filmed separate projects in Vancouver, Canada — providing us with some seriously adorable pics in the process.

But according to LaineyGossip.com, "Taylor left Vancouver last Friday. Before leaving, my sources say the two were supposed to hang out, spend time together, watch DVDs, cuddle, whatever. Instead, Taylor stood her up. Didn't bother texting, didn't bother coming through on their plans. They've barely communicated since."

According to the source, Summit and Taylor's dad don't think it is good for Taylor's image to have a girlfriend right now, and he needs to focus on his career.

Sob! The cutest couple ever is over! We need some time to grieve.

haha i love twilight but hate taylor im think that taylors dad however for breaking his heart ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

I think they made a pretty good couple but I'm sure my friend will be happy when I tell her that they have broken up because she loves Taylor!

i dont reallly know much but i do think its sorta sad . hopefully a few people were rite that they are together still or again. even if they arent then i gess that just gives someone else a better chance hopefullly though they arent too sad. lozzza x

last time i checked selena and nick were ova like last year.. and it was after the jobros album a little bit longer that they broke up... i'm pretty sure..

i'm not a huge Taylor fan but, i do think their a cute couple haha looks like he's picking up some of his Jacob character traits- what he did with standing-up selena was dog and guess what?! he plays a dog- see what i'm getting at?

his myspace said he wasnt dating selena so whether its true or not who knows,, i dont think no one know wat exactly is going on but y should we believe whatever the papparazzi say theyre probs just making a whole load of crap up.
