Inverted nipples
How can you tell if you've got inverted nipples and how do you fix them?
Kim
Inverted nipples look like the nipple goes inwards instead of protruding outwards. Sometimes it's impossible to know if they are going to be inverted until your breasts have fully developed, because the nipple may grow disproportionately to the rest of the breast. Sometimes they change during or after pregnancy, many years after puberty. If your breasts are growing and your nipples are flat or seem to point inwards, then you can gently pull the nipples by grabbing them between your thumb and index finger and pulling for about 30 seconds each day. Many women have inverted nipples and they do not affect sexual pleasure or breastfeeding. Older women whose nipples suddenly become inverted should get their breasts checked by a doctor.
