Dear DOLLY DR, My boobs are so weird, one is a B cup and one is an AA cup. Do I have cancer or something? Because I have to put heaps of padding on the tiny one and I hate swimming with my mates because they will see my boobs! Help!
Candy.
No, I'm sure you don't have cancer or anything of the sort! It's very common for breasts to be different sizes. It also sounds as though your breasts are still developing and they often do grow at different rates. It really won't be until your breasts and body have fully developed before you will know if they will stay asymmetrical or not. Lots of women have different sized and shaped boobs it's nothing to be ashamed of!
I do understand your self-consciousness though, because it's completely normal. I'm sure most of your mates are also self-conscious about their bodies they just haven't let on to anyone. Maybe it would help if you talk confidentially to one or two of your best friends, so that when you go swimming they'll be able to make sure you feel perfectly okay. With a bit more time and body confidence, most of us also learn to have a laugh at the things we find embarrassing about our bodies!
