Height
I'm 13 and I'm 150 centimetres tall. I was just wondering how tall I'll get when I'm around 18? And what would make me get taller faster?
Virilia
Nintey-five percent of 13-year-old Caucasian girls are between 145 centimetres and 170 centimetres, and 95 percent of 18-year-old Caucasian women are between 152cm and 175cm. So your height is certainly within the normal range. Your final height depends on your race, genes and development. A critical factor is whether you have started puberty (developed breasts and pubic hair) and whether your periods have started. During puberty, you'll grow by as much as 23 to 28 centimetres. If your periods have already started, your major growth spurt has already occurred and you'll grow more slowly for the next few years. If they haven't, then you're either growing fast at the moment, or are about to. The best way to ensure healthy development is to eat a balanced diet, with lots of iron, protein and calcium, and exercise regularly.
