I have really dark freckles all over my face and I hate them! I get teased really badly and I'm self-conscious. Can I get rid of them?

Being someone with freckles myself, I'm sad you don't like your "sun kisses"! I was also pretty self-conscious about them as a teenager, but feeling like that didn't last too long, so be patient and give yourself some time. There isn't anything that can make them go away easily. You can prevent more from appearing by making sure you protect your face from the sun with sunscreen and hats. Cosmetic surgery involving laser treatment can remove them, but it's very expensive, carries a risk of scarring, and some freckles return after a while. If you're seriously upset, perhaps you should talk to someone, like a parent, about how you feel. Losing your self-consciousness is about believing in yourself and your own uniqueness.
