cause two heads are better than one!

Sass & Bide

Fashion is one of those things that we all love and are interested in. Some of us love it more than others, but we all embrace clothes as a way of expressing our individuality. There are also people that love fashion so much they decide they want to make their own. In a competitive fashion world Australia is very lucky to have some of the hippest female design duos in the world. We look at some of the best and most inspirational fashion besties around.

Sass & Bide

Before the year 2000, Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke were barely known within the Australian fashion scene. Today, the Sydney-based duo are the most talked about team in the industry. Their designs are edgy but also suitable for every day wear, which is why they are always in high demand.

Zimmerman

This important label began in 1991 and it has been wowing the fashion industry ever since. The masterminds behind the label, Simone and Nicky Zimmermann completely revolutionised swimwear, creating dynamic designs that you don't have to be a super model to look fabulous in.

Rodarte

Sister duo Kate and Laura Mulleavy founded Rodarte in 2005 while studying at university in California. Since that time, the company has received some really amazing fashion industry awards and their designs have been seen on cool stars like Natalie Portman. The name "Rodarte" was actually their mother's maiden name.

Milich & Morton

Danielle Milich & Joelle Morton debuted their first solo collection in 2005. Their designs are both youthful and feminine and were a huge hit when they were first seen on the runways of Milan 4 years ago.

Anna & Boy

Anna Hewitt & Lil Boyd began designing unique swimwear in an attempt to recreate the feeling of endless summers and carefree days at the beach enjoyed when they were young. The duo believed that swimwear designs were not eye-catching enough and so decided to do something about it. They love using bright colours, prints and bold detailing.

Bec & Bridge

A strong friendship forged at Fashion School was the foundation for Sydney based designers Becky Cooper and Bridget Yorston to launch their label Bec & Bridge in 2003. Their current winter 09 collection Crest De Camalette' is really dynamic, mixing lace, faux fur and shimmering metallics.

Bassike

The designers behind Bassike are friends Deborah Sams and Mary Lou Ryan. Bassike offers Australian-made men and women's basics in the latest shapes, fabrics & colours. Bassike designs aim at filling a gap in the clothing market for well-made luxury basics.

Ginger & Smart

Australian luxury label Ginger & Smart is all about creating something distinct and inspiring that will appeal to fashion-savvy people all over the world. Sisters Genevieve and Alexandra Smart founded the label in 2002. Their designs can be found at 100 boutique retailers across Australia.
