Earlier this year, we invited you to enter a very cool comp – the amazing prize, of course, was to become the new Clean & Clear Best Friend Beauty Reporters!
We had a really, really hard time choosing the two bestie winners, but we sifted through all the entries, considered each one carefully, and finally decided that Sarah Pike and Lizzie O'Connor were perfect for the job!
The girls are told the exciting news ...
When we told the girls they had been selected as the Clean & Clear Best Friend Beauty Reporters, they couldn’t believe it. "The first thing I did when I found out we'd won was call Lizzie to tell her – we were so excited, and so were our mums!" says Sarah, who entered herself and Lizzie in the comp. "I jumped up and down with excitement," adds Lizzie.
Before they knew it, the girls were whisked off to stay at a posh hotel, where they lived it up for the night before tucking into bed to get some beauty sleep. After all, they had to be well-rested for their first assignment as the Best Friend Beauty Reporters – starring in a glam shoot for Clean & Clear!
Let the shoot begin ...
On the day of the shoot, Sarah and Lizzie grabbed a muffin from the yummy catering spread, before settling in front of the mirror to have their hair and make-up done by amazing professional artist, Aimee. Then the fashion stylists got to work, selecting super-cute outfits for the girls to wear in their photographs. From heels to high-waisted skirts and chunky belts, there was so much cool gear to choose from … "I really liked the pyjamas, too!" says Lizzie.
Soon, the girls were ready to pose for the photographer. "I was curious to see what it would be like to be a model," says Lizzie. Both were a bit nervous at first, but it wasn't long before they found their groove and were posing for the photographer like experts. Then, there was a star moment, when Dolly's beauty editor, the lovely Alexis, arrived to have her pic taken with the girls. Film stars, too ...
Later, the girls put on their reporter hats to be interviewed by the Dolly film crew for a cool behind-the-scenes video, which you can check out right here.
After a lunch break, the girls and their shoot entourage (hey, Sarah and Lizzie deserved a little star treatment!) headed to a second location at a cool Sydney apartment. Here, they posed for more shots, showing off how they use Clean & Clear® products to keep their skin looking gorgeous.
It's a wrap!
Finally, after a long but glamorous day, it was time to wrap the shoot. The girls had worked really hard, so they were pretty tired, but they had a great time! "I loved the whole experience," says Sarah. "It’s something Lizzie and I can hold onto and remember."
