I was youcruising (wandering aimlessly around youtube) the other day when I chanced upon this video.

I'm still riding high on the buzz of last night, which was the second annual Dolly Teen Choice (DTC) Awards. As you can imagine yesterday was a bit of a write-off at Dolly HQ as we were all too excited about the night ahead to do anything too serious pants. Hair and make-up artists arrived at the office around lunch time to pretty us up (such a treat, thanks bron!!) while we scurried around trying on dresses. I had to hit the make-up chair early so we could get our sh*t together and head to Luna Park to prepare for the red carpet coverage.

I couldn't not post something about the new britney single Gimme More. It was "leaked" this week (and i use the term very loosely because if britney wanted it to stay safe from the blogosphere she could) and has been the subject of er, enthusiastic debate. If you ask me (and yes I know, you didn't) I think it's tres disappointing. The sample/effect that's been used for "more" sounds a bit scary, like one of those people who has a hole in their throat from too many cigarettes is singing it. Actually given her recent form that may not be far from the truth. Haha sorry that was a cheap shot. Anyway in all seriousness i think it's a shame she couldn't have gotten someone really great like Kanye on board to produce the new songs and take things in a new direction, god knows she needs it.
